Are you eagerly awaiting the arrival of spring? It’s that time when we can finally indulge in what we love most – building homes and reaping the rewards. And what better way to kickstart your 2026 building season than with an exciting and informative in-person training session at Enercept in Watertown, SD?
Held in our corporate offices and manufacturing facility in Watertown, South Dakota, Enercept University is a two-day workshop focusing on all things SIPs, from seeing how the foam is made to assembling panels for a small cabin. Registration opens in January 2026. Space is limited to 50 attendees.
Since its inception in 2007, Enercept University has had over 200 individuals participate. Builders gain insights and learn installation tricks, and enjoy the interaction among builders and the discoveries they make while installing panels.
Instructor Jon Golz points out that having a factory-trained installer at your location increases the credibility of your business. It also serves to connect the dots as far as the process goes, and that’s valuable as well.
“Get the what, why and how of Enercept SIPs with classroom and in-person training,” Golz says. “Tours of our drafting, production and sales facilities will help all in attendance understand the entire purchasing process more fully.”
Attendees have the wonderful opportunity to connect and forge relationships with both the Enercept Team and other professionals in the SIP-building industry. This networking aspect of Enercept University allows participants to expand their professional network and exchange valuable insights and experiences.
Class attendees will have the incredible opportunity to observe the expert guidance of Enercept Pros as they oversee the construction of a charming SIP cabin.

The fee for the course is $250. This includes all lunches, an evening banquet, and your hotel room.
Mark your calendars for March 17 & 18, 2026, as the highly anticipated in-person session is scheduled! Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills in SIPs construction at Enercept University.
